 DEMI
 Walsh

Demi began her career in hair by attending beauty school while still in her her Junior and Senior year of high school in 2008. From there, she trained at Toni & Guy hair salons as a color specialist and independently educated for TIGI Haircare.

In 2014, Demi was chosen for TIGI’s Inspirational Youth to be mentored by TIGI’s Creative team in London and to present onstage at the Premiere Orlando hair show. She has also been employed to style hair at many large music events including Coachella + Lollapalooza, which perfectly combined Demi's love of hair and her love of music.

Demi has had a passion for switching up her hair since she was young and became fascinated with the power of a well executed color correction. Demi works with your natural hair color level, texture, skin tone and eye color to determine a completely custom look while keeping the integrity of your hair in high priority.

For the last 7 years, Demi has been working independently refining her technique and her signature style, becoming a true color specialist. Demi is thrilled to now be a part of the True Few Crew.

MELISSA BEASLEY

Chase Denham's journey to becoming the manager of True Few Hair Salon was unexpected and surprising.

Chase hails from Pasadena, CA. He pursued a career in clothing design, moving to NYC in 2009. There, he immersed himself in the city, with a number of design jobs - including several years as the Men's Accessory Designer for Marc by Marc Jacobs. After 6 years in New York, Chase made the move back to Los Angeles. He continued his interest in the design industry by managing a clothing factory in the heart of the downtown Garment District.

In June of 2020, in the midst of a time of change, Chase decided to reunite with his friend, Laura Mittendorf - who he met back in his early days in New York and stayed close with ever since. Laura had just opened True Few Hair Salon and needed a partner to help run the place.

Chase jumped on the opportunity as a chance to try something different, support a friend and get involved in an exciting new business. He has loved being involved in the growth of the salon and getting to know all the amazing clients who call True Few "home!"

 TEHYA
 WaNGEN

Originally from Washington state, Tehya made the leap over to Arizona in 2020, entering the hair world shortly after. She graduated Paul Mitchell the School Phoenix in April of 2022, and by June of that year, Tehya began True Few’s Apprenticeship Program.

Her experiences during the program included extensive, hands-on training and education from all of True Few’s Senior Stylists. Over the course of 10 months, she has continued to refine her skills, molding her into the wonderful Junior Stylist she is today.

When she’s not in the salon, you can usually find Tehya searching for hidden gems at the thrift shop, drinking an iced coffee at a new local coffee shop, or curating the PERFECT Spotify playlist. Her passions in the salon include lived-in blonding and organic, layered cuts with a heavy influence of 70s and 90s hair and fashion trends.

Melissa was born in Gallup, New Mexico and raised in Cameron, Arizona.

Melissa began her hair career 15 years ago. Early on Melissa knew the power hair has in our lives. Being able to change your outer appearance to match what you feel like on the inside is life altering. Hair definitely affects your mood and self image. Not having access to a salon on the rez, she would diy bleach, bright colors, and haircuts for herself or others that would let her. Hair has the power to make you feel confident and give you a sense of a new beginning. Putting your best foot forward.

Her hair expertise was sharpened when she became a stylist at Toni & Guy. There she mastered various cutting and coloring techniques.

Melissa loves staying current in her craft by seeking out education in-person or online.

Her specialities include creative coloring and precision cutting.

“I love collaborating with people who sit in my chair. I get inspired by their unique self and feel very fortunate to be able to help others create a way to express themselves through their hair.”

Her friends would describe her as having good energy, funny, and caring. When she is not behind the chair she loves to spend time with her children. One of their favorite activities is going on roadtrips.

Laura started her career nearly 15 years ago in Vancouver BC Canada, where she graduated top of her class at Marvel College.  Devoting the first 6 years of her career to advanced education, through Bumble and Bumble, Toni and Guy, Loreal Professional, and working non stop behind the chair, she quickly grew a loyal following.

After many trips to New York for education at the house of Bumble, and styling backstage at NYFW for designers such as Alice and Olivia, Lacoste, and Chado Ralph Rucci, Laura decided to make NYC her home. Her incredible talent and exemplary style landed her a chair at the legendary rock and roll salon Mudhoney in Soho.

In New York she also found a new passion for motorcycles that eventually brought her to Arizona.  She then spent 5 years bringing her unique hair approach to the clients of Downtown Phoenix at the top rated Salon RO5.

It is here at True Few that Laura is marrying all her experience and passions under one roof. Although she is a true pop culture junky, obsessing over music, fashion, books and everything in between, her true love is people. What makes her such a sought after stylist is not just her textured razor cuts, lived in balayage color, and modern approach to men's cutting, but the personal connection she forms with each and every person, that keeps them coming back again and again.
